Mr. Povie is a graduate of the University of Iowa School of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree. From 1990 through 2006 he taught band, jazz band, and guitar classes at Shuman Middle School Performing Arts Academy. He is now the Band Director and Guitar teacher at St. Andrew's School in Savannah. Mr. Povie also performs with the Savannah roots and blues band Delta Blue Rocket.
